​There’s something about graduation that catches you off guard.

​

You know it’s coming. You’ve watched the years tick by—first days of school, skinned knees, soccer cleats by the front door, braces, dances, driving lessons, college move-ins, late-night phone calls and all those ordinary days you never realized you’d miss.

 

And then suddenly, here you are.

 

For a high school senior, it’s the end of the world they’ve known for most of their life. For a college graduate, it’s the moment all those years of growing up, leaving home, figuring things out and finding their way lead to something entirely new.

Graduation portraits are about giving this chapter the attention it deserves.

​

As a San Diego senior and college graduation photographer, I create an experience that celebrates exactly who they are right now—the confidence they’ve grown into, the things they love, the pieces of their younger selves they’re still carrying with them, and the person they’re becoming.

​

From the moment you book, I’ll guide you through everything. We’ll choose a location that means something, plan wardrobe, and talk about the details worth including. Maybe it’s a Letterman jacket or ballet shoes. Maybe it’s a college stole, a cap and gown, a favorite spot on campus, the friends who became family—or the dog who has somehow been there through all of it.

And when we get to the session? They don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with their hands. That’s my job.

I’ll guide them, keep them moving, ask questions, make them laugh and give them permission to let go a little. Somewhere along the way, they stop thinking about being photographed—and that’s when their personality really starts to come through. The result is a gallery that feels unmistakably like them.

​

Because when you look at these photographs, you won’t only see the high school senior or college graduate standing in front of my camera. You’ll see the little kid who once held your hand walking into school. The first uniform. The dance recitals. The scraped knees. The learner’s permit. The college acceptance. The dorm room you helped move them into. The phone calls home. The visits that never felt quite long enough.

You’ll see all the versions of them that somehow led to this one.

Graduation belongs to them—but there’s a piece of it that belongs to you, too.

You’ve spent years getting them here. Cheering, driving, worrying, encouraging, showing up, packing them up, welcoming them home and slowly learning how to let go.

 

These photographs give you a place to return to when life moves forward—as it’s supposed to—and this season becomes one you suddenly wish you could visit again.
